Attention Students in Zoology: Our first major test is Friday, Jan. 25th. Please use your notes, handouts from the beginning of the semester to study for test. You also have your vocabulary words, which will be included on the test.
If you need additional help I will be available before school Monday-Friday of this week and after school on Wednesday in Room 230 in the main building.

Money may be paid when we return from the Thanksgiving Holidays. The cost is $25.00. You may put your application in my mailbox in the teacher workroom, or come by my room before your classes begin.

Mr. Means and Mrs. Duffy's Zoology class will be dissecting the squid this week. Students are preparing for this event by researching and studying about this fascinating animal. This is the first time our class has dissected the squid and we are all super excited about it.
Students need to be prepared for the dissecting by wearing old clothes and making sure they are following all safety procedures.

Environmental Science Class
We are collecting old, non working cell phones in Environmental Science. Our goal is 200 phones. If we collect 200 cell phones we can adopt a gorilla at the Atlanta Zoo and at the same time we are helping to save our planet by recycling. If you are getting ready to upgrade your phone please consider donating your old cell phone to the Environmental Science class.

Mr. Means and Mrs. Duffy's Zoology class will be dissecting the Earth Worm this week. Students have been preparing for this lab for over one week. Although many of the students are somewhat reluctant to touch the earthworm, they will all understand the make up of the earthworm and its parts after the lab is complete.

Recycling Program is in full swing by students in the Science Department. The students in 4th Block Environmental Science class of Ms. Miller and Mrs. Duffy are collecting trash on Wednesday and Friday each week. Please help by throwing all recyclable paper in the correct container in your classroom.
