Junior Conferences

Junior Parents: The Department of Professional School Counselors will conduct Junior Conferences from October 24-November 11, 2011. This is an opportunity to complete your child’s 2-year plan and receive information about post-secondary planning. Letters will be mailed home with the conference date and time and students will receive passes in advisement at least one week prior to the meeting. Georgia HS Graduation Retest Results

The results for the GHSGT taken in September (not the writing test) were distributed to Seniors during the Senior Meeting on Oct. 12, 2011. Students who did not receive their results must come to the Counseling Suite before and after school. Sign up for the November test is due Friday Oct. 14th. Senior Curbside Counseling Oct 13th

Parents of SCHS Seniors can come by SCHS this Thursday Oct. 13th from 8am-2pm and 4pm-6pm for 5 minute curb side questions with counselors about college, financial aid, graduation and other needs of senior students. Parents don't have to get out of their car...Counselors will come to you!

Location will be outside the new Freshmen Building and just park at the curb in front of the double doors! If there is inclement weather, just enter through the double doors. You may email to say you are driving by at: Crystal.Giddings-Jackson@cobbk12.org

 

PSAT Plans Weds. Oct 12th

The PSAT will last the duration of 1st & 2nd block on Weds Oct 12. Students testing for the PSAT will meet their advisement in the relocated room that morning in the FTA Building. Room Relocation notices will be posted throughout SCHS so students can know where to meet their advisement that morning. Students testing will need to bring the following:

• Two #2 Pencils
• Approved Calculator (calculators will not be provided)

Students not testing will take part in the following activities with their advisement:

• 12th grade - Senior Orientation Meeting
• 11th/transitional 10th grade - Junior Presentation
• 9th grade - Freshmen 4 Year Plan Advisement
