Welcome to the world of Reading. Reading is a reflection of our culture and in its complexities we receive metaphors of life.
In this effort, do not run away from rigor. Rigor makes you stronger and prepares you for life.

Grading
The assignments in this class require indepth thought, time and levels of processes. Therefore, students will not receive grades every week. Many of the activities are practice; to assist and build up to the assignments that will show mastery of the standards. The student will always be given a unit focus and informed what assignments are attached to the various performance standards. Please pay close attention to the dates of the assignments. This will give you better clarification on when to expect the grades. I will do my very best to grade in a timely manner, but in order to be fair and just, time must be spent to give you the student a thorough examination of your work. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
