Congratulations to the students (French I, III and ESOL) attending Mlle. Becerra and Mr. Snyder's field trip, for their display of awesome, interested and fun behavior during the field trip. I am so proud of everyone. Thanks to Mr. Herold Macenot, French and Math tutor, from Haiti, for joining us as a chaperone, and interact with our students the way he did. Thank you also to Ms. Hinds, for contributing to the multicultural aspect of the field trip (Cameroon, Haiti, Dominican Republic,...), by allowing ESOL students to join us. And special thanks to Mr. Snyder, for bringing us all back to school on time
Felicitations!!!! Merci beaucoup. On repetira l'experience le prochain semestre.
I would like to announce that Coach Snyder, Mrs. White and I are planning a field trip for October 28th, to take our Spanish students to the Picasso Art Exhibit, at the High Museum of Art, in Midtown Atlanta.
In my Spanish III class, I will choose very carefully the students who will be able to make it to this field trip. And one of the requirements to be allowed to make it is to have, at least, a 75 in this class. I will be distributing permission slips by Wednesday, October 5th. And, I want to make sure students know that, if they have a single "No", from any other teacher, they will NOT be allowed to make it to the Spanish fieldtrip, at all. I want to support my colleagues in their attempt to maximize their instruction, and I also want to respect their judgement, if they consider that some student cannot miss their class that day. However, I would also appreciate the support of my colleagues and parents, in my attempt to take as many students as we can logistically take, by encouraging them to -continue- doing well in the Spanish class.
We will be having the help of Mr. Snyder, the FL department head, who will be driving us, in order to make the fieldtrip as inexpensive as possible.
Please, do not hesitate to contact me for any further questions. I would also welcome the offer of parents as chaperones for the field trip.
I would like to announce that I am planning a field trip for October 21st, to take my French students to the Alliance Francaise (French Study Center) in mid-town Atlanta, and to the High Museum of Art, to see the exhibit on Picasso Art. I have been warning my French class about this event for weeks.

French III students will only be missing their 2nd and 3rd block, since their 4th block is French ; French I students will only be missing their 2nd and 4th block, since their 3rd block is French I. Students who are not allowed to come will stay in the classroom of another FL teacher for their French block, working on a practice and review packet, and taking a quiz.
We will be having the help of Mr. Snyder, the FL department head, who will be driving us, in order to make the fieldtrip as inexpensive as possible. (probably, $8+ money for their own lunch)
Please, do not hesitate to contact me for any further questions. I would also welcome the offer of parents as chaperones for the field trip.
From TB, pg R57, do ex 13 (4 paragraphs in French), to contrast what you did during the weekend, versus what you usually do during the week, using past tense to describe what you did last weekend, and present tense to describe what you usually do during the week.
F.i. (1st paragraph) I visited my grand-mother last weekend. I do not visit her during the week.
(2nd paragraph) I got up at 10:00 last Saturday. I usually wake up at 7:00 during the week.
